Chopter Copter - Available Only on Playdate

FEATURES:

  • Control your copter using the Playdate's crank!
  • Slice, dice, and weave through wacky weirdos!
  • Juggle gibs and gyrate in jolly jubilation!
  • Propel yourself to greatness and aim for the high score!

CONTROLS:

  • Button A: Confirm menu selections, confirm letter on score screen.
  • Button B: Go back a menu screen, delete letter on score screen.
  • Directional Pad: Navigate menu screens, control Vamperus during gameplay.
  • Crank: Rotate clockwise to descend and counter-clockwise to ascend during gameplay, scrolls letters during score entry.
  • Home/Power Button: Displays the Playdate pause menu.
  • Lock button: Puts the Playdate into sleep mode.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Ram your Chopter Copter into enemies and liberate them of their blood!
  • Juggle their gibs to increase your score even further, just like in real life!
  • Gibs explode after ten hits, also like in real life!
  • Each enemy moves distinctly, watch them carefully and make your move!
  • Vamperus is only vulnerable around his squishy body, science doesn't know why.

HUD:

  • Timer: Displays how long Vamperus has survived.
  • Blood: Current level of blood, the higher it is, the higher score gains become and the harder the monsters will fight back!
  • Score: Current score, keep pushing and make a new record!

ENEMIES:

  • Flazza: A horrible fly-like creature that hunts down Vamperus relentlessly.
  •      Bats: Fly around erratically and are no longer invited to family gatherings.
  • Telden: Tongue-twisted, one-eyed menaces that circle the tower.
  • Blam-Jam: Catty creatures with an explosive purr-sonality.
  •     Nullantulan: Hopping mad entities that only enter open windows.
  •     Pythlus: Snakey abominations with hard bodies. Aim for their soft heads!
  •    Ghoulash: Appear when you least expect it, just like goulash!

Hey!! I got this on catalog and loving it! I am wondering if we can maybe have two QOL things...

1. I like to play with just d-pad. Can we not have the "Use the crank!!" Activated all the time that the crank is docked? I'm aware, and it gets a little annoying to have to have it undocked to get rid of this

2. Can A also perhaps propel the player character upwards? This would really make playing without crank a lot better

These are some good suggestions, I'll run them by our coder and see what we can do!

This looks good!  Can you clarify what is said at 0:13 please? ;/ :)

In the trailer? That portion is saying "juggle the gibs" in reference to the giblets that pop out of enemies when they are defeated
